On Tuesday 4 December, our Infant students attended their picnic day at Fagan Park.

It was a really fun day, enjoyed by everyone.  The children thoroughly enjoyed playing in the park and using the wonderful variety of play equipment they have there.

Here are some great pictures and recounts written by some of our Year 2 students from the day.

On Tuesday we went to Fagan Park by bus and it was a surprisingly long trip. We had a discussion and then we got to play. First I played on the climbing frame and then went on the roundabout. A short time later I played in the sand pit but ended up trying to stop the Kindies from making a sea of water in the sand. Sarah helped me because we knew that they were going to fill up the whole sand pit with water like the living puddle from the 78 Storey Treehouse. After that I scraped my arm by being not so careful when climbing. I decided to have a little break and when I went back to the roundabout… I scraped my arm again.A few minutes I played but soon it was time to go home. It was better than reading my favourite book The 104 Storey Treehouse.

At Fagan Park there was so much to do. I didn’t know where to start but I made up my mind so I went to the swings WOOOSH.

Next I went on the flying fox. When it was my turn I was shaking like a man’s long beard but I said to myself, “I can do it!” I did it! As I was on the flying fox I said, “This is not bad.”After that I felt a little hungry and thirsty so I went to my bag and I had food and a drink. I thought to myself, “Mmmmmm so good. I might go for a play now.”At that moment I saw the roundabout, “NO WAY is that a roundabout! FASTER! FASTER! This is awesome! It’s too much fun for words. ”What a wonderful day it was.
