Curriculum

At St Bernadette's we promote a love of life long learning. Our curriculum aligns with the guidelines set by NESA (NSW Education Standards Authority) and the Catholic Education Office which include:

  • Religion
  • English (Speaking & Listening, Reading & Viewing, Writing & Representing)
  • Mathematics
  • Science and Technology
  • Human Society and Its Environment (History & Geography)
  • Creative Arts (Music, Visual Arts, Dance, Drama)
  • Personal Development, Health and Physical Education

It is within these Key Learning Areas that our staff create programs that are engaging for all students to support learning at the point of need.

Project Based Learning

One of the exciting approaches in our classroom practice is Project Based learning. Using the strategies of Plan, Do, Check, Share students investigate and present findings using inquiry based strategies.

Our staff are dedicated to keeping up to date with current trends in education through weekly professional development opportunities to support student learning.
