Yesterday, we bid a heartfelt farewell to the Year 6 class of 2024. They were spoiled by their Kindergarten buddies with a delightful ‘Kindergarten Cafe’ and later enjoyed and exciting ‘Amazing Race’ around the school. A highlight of the day was reading the letters they wrote to themselves, retrieved from the time capsule. The celebrations concluded with a remarkable send-off, featuring a parade around the school and the iconic hat toss at the final bell. We wish them all the very best for the journey ahead.

This morning we held our Year 6 Graduation Liturgy. The hall was beautifully decorated by Mrs Onorato and Mrs Hanna. Fr Ruben, Parents, families and teachers attended, making it a truly special celebration to mark the end of these students’ primary school journey.

Yesterday we celebrated our Whole School End of Year Liturgy. It was a joyful reflection on the birth of Christ. Our school choir led by Nicholas Ng filled the hall with harmony and joy. We also awarded our recipients of the Term 4 Principal awards for academic excellence. Congratulations to those students.

Today we had our final FIAT activity for 2024. We had the pleasure of welcoming guests from Arcare Aged Care, Oatlands to our school. We treated them to a beautiful performance by our school choir, led by Dr. Nicholas Ng, and they enjoyed getting creative with some festive Christmas crafts. Our visitors also had the opportunity to visit the Year 5/6 classrooms and see how schooling has changed. Our students interacted with our guests showing kindness and care, bringing joy and smiles to everyone’s face. It was truly a heartwarming experience for everyone involved. A special thank you to our parents helpers, Adeline, Bianca, Katherine and Tijana for volunteering their time and providing the wonderful supplies that made the morning so special. Our hearts are full 🩷

Students win prestigious NSW Space Discovery Award
St Bernadette's Primary Dundas Valley has won the NSW Space Discovery Program Industry Award. Judges were very impressed with the project which focused on addressing problems faced by people in war torn countries.

At Bernadette’s had their dancing shoes on today!! 💃🏻🕺🏽🩰🪩 It was wonderful to have the parents join us for dance lessons today. They certainly got into the spirit of the lesson and there was lots of fun, laughs and dancing.

Last night we gathered as a school community to celebrate Christmas. Andrew Chinn led us in a wonderful concert full of laughter, fun and Christmas spirit. Our students sang and performed beautifully. What a great night. 🎤🎄🌟
